HireBest

Require two-step sign-in for your organization

When this setting is on, every member of your organization must use two-step sign-in: a password, then a 6-digit code from an authenticator app.

Who can do this

Super Admins and Admins of the organization. HireBest records each change.

Before you begin

Turn on two-step sign-in for your own account first. Until you do, the switch is not available and HireBest shows "Turn on two-step sign-in for your own account first." Read Turn on two-step sign-in.

Turn the requirement on

  1. Click your organization's name at the top of the sidebar, then click Admin.
  2. Open the Security tab.
  3. Select the Require two-step sign-in switch.
  4. HireBest tells you how many members do not use two-step sign-in yet. Read the number.
  5. Select Require it.

What happens next

The change applies at once. A member without an authenticator sees Set up two-step sign-in on their next click, and cannot continue until they finish it. It takes about a minute. A member who has an authenticator is asked for a code.

The Security tab lists each member. The Uses two-step sign-in column shows Yes or No.

Phones that members pair with HireBest from now on must be approved from a browser session that used a code. Phones that are already paired keep working.

People in more than one organization

A person who works for more than one organization in HireBest has one sign-in. If any of their organizations requires two-step sign-in, they use it every time.

Turn the requirement off

  1. Click your organization's name at the top of the sidebar, then click Admin, and open Security.
  2. Select the switch, then Stop requiring it.

Members keep their authenticators. They are no longer required to use them.
